Captain Jons Tahoe Lakeside Restaurant
Built in 1909 Captain Jon’s is steeped in Tahoe history and remains one of the oldest buildings on the lake. It was once a waterfront casino, post office, and even a stop for elegant travelers aboard the Tahoe Steamer. Our hope is to bring back some of the charm of this bygone-era.
The boathouse is the perfect place for a relaxing lunch on the pier or a romantic diner by our fireplace. Chef Bret Hilgrenberg has created a menu featuring classic flavor combinations prepared with fresh, local ingredients. Our clam chowder is must — it’s best on the lake.
